A slow death

Charlie keeps dragging things* out of the litter box.

Omar keeps throwing up on things.

Charlie has puked twice in the past two days. On my bed.

They fight all of the time.

I think my pets may be trying to kill me.

*you know exactly what things I'm talking about.

P.S. I don't want to devote an entire post to it, yet anyway, but I'm totally a Team Jacob kind of girl. And while New Moon was BOUNDS better than Twilight, I do hope Eclipse is BOUNDS better than New Moon. That's all on that subject...for now. :)

Sparkles!

In the winter, I love to wear cardigans. Not only can I then wear a more summery shirt underneath and still be professional at work, but they keep me warm, too.

I saw this idea on Black Apple and thought it was brilliant! So Saturday, out I went to Joann's Fabrics and picked me up some pretty buttons. Both of these cardigans just had plain buttons, but now they're all sparkly!

I have a red and green one to work on next.

Finally

After 28 years, I have finally come to a realization.

Maybe it's all the compliments I've been getting lately.

Maybe I'm finally realizing the good things about myself.

Maybe I'm sleep deprived...?

But I finally agree with those of you that have said...

I have great hair.

Two days in a row now, I've gotten compliments.

From strangers.

That does something to the hair self esteem.

I must say, though, that I'm never cutting it short again.

I like it long.

Long, full, and curled with a curling iron.

I blame my mom.

When I was little, she'd always curl it and I'd hate it.

I thought it was too big.

And here I am now....curling away.

Go figure.

Thanks Mom.

Have you ever?

I know this guy...he shall remain nameless....however, I worry for him. A lot. He is incredibly unique. He definitely walks to the beat of his own drum. He can be incredibly sweet and he is genuinely nice.

But he has so many quirks.

Quirks like dressing up in costumes for movie premiers. Including going to movie premiers and wearing costumes that have nothing to do WITH that actual movie.

And my heart breaks for him.

He hasn't had a girlfriend since high school. That was 10 years ago. And this isn't for lack of trying. He really is sweet. And a year or so ago, he got super healthy and lost a bunch of weight and looked really nice! He has very pretty eyes.

He wants to be in a relationship SO badly. But one of his biggest problems...and one of my largest annoyances, is that he only ever (almost always) tries to ask out that girl.

You know, the girl who is perfect. Incredible hair, tiny waist, large chest, glowing teeth...model types. And he just isn't going to get them. Most guys don't! Most guys get NORMAL girls and heaven forbid...he just doesn't really ask these girls out.

It's SO frustrating because he always talks about how he'd love to settle down and find someone to be with but he doesn't even try with normal girls. It's like if the girl isn't a 10+ on a scale of 1-10, he won't even ask. And what's wrong with just hanging out with a girl? Hell, what if she is only a 3?! At least you're still hanging out with someone.

AND NOT TO FREAKING MENTION IT'S CALLED A PERSONALITY!!!!! Who cares if the girl is a negative 10??! Maybe her personality is a flipping 30?! It is NOT just about looks. Sure, you need to be attracted to the person, but personality is extremely attractive and makes that person even better.

I get so worked up thinking about this. He's so sure he's going to be the 40 year old virgin. And I never used to agree with him. Now, I do. I know that sounds horrible, but really, if he can't even try and not stop going for the girls, who on Halloween, wear bikinis as their costumes, then he is going to be alone. Sure, there are guys that get those girls, but he is not their type.

I admire that he stays true to himself and even though so many of his friends told him to NOT wear his joker costume (yes...joker costume) to the NEW MOON premier (they don't even go together!!!), he still is, it always breaks my heart because I know he will just be made fun of. I know girls are just going to think he's creepy. That isn't a way to start a conversation. We even suggested just dressing as a vampire. But no. He HAS to dress as Joker.

Sigh.

I hope I don't sound mean. I'm not even trying to be mean. I just worry about him, for him, and really wish that he could just be HIMSELF. I think he hides behind his costumes. I think he sets himself up for failure by only asking out the supermodel.

And I'm beyond knowing even what to say to help him. He doesn't listen anyway.

San Francisco Trip

Instead of doing one incredibly long post about our trip, I broke it up into each day....so scroll down and it starts with November 6th. Enjoy!

And yes, PICTURE OVERLOAD!! But I had so many favorites! It was hard to choose! :)

San Francisco: November 11th

Fisherman's Wharf

Yes I'm wearing sunglasses inside. We were right by the window
and it was BRIGHT. This is Alioto's...seriously divine seafood.

For our last evening, we took an hour long ride around the bay.

Amazing views!

Alcatraz

San Francisco was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with this city! I could most definitely live there. The only annoying thing was trying to find parking...and then having to move our car two hours later to avoid getting a parking ticket. We ate at so many great restaurants including those that served seafood and then great Japanese food. I also had some incredible buffalo wings at The Original Buffalo Wing Diner. The trip went so quickly but was so much fun. The Golden Gate Bridge really is so beautiful in person and the Bay Bridge is a freak of nature! No bridge should be that long! I had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back!

San Francisco: November 10th

Too bad I can't make this post chocolate scented! ;)
Ahhh Ghirardelli....yum!
The factory is no longer there, they are now luxury condos,
but they do have a small working factory.

Can I just sit in it?

After Ghirardelli, we dropped Drew back at the hotel (he wasn't feeling well).
Matt and I went on an adventure!

We aren't quite sure what this little creature was, but he kept coming out to say hi!

The Presidio

Golden Gate Bridge

We hiked a mile downhill to go to the beach

This was one of my favorite things...Matt and I spent some quality alone
time together and hiked all the way down to the water.
It was a cool, foggy day and made for some great pictures!

I love the houses in San Francisco!
Matt and I want to live in this one. :)

Nova looks a bit perplexed...

San Francisco: November 9th

DISNEYLAND!!!
Walt's secret room in the Firehouse

The day we were there, they were filming the Christmas Parade
that will air on CBS Christmas Day. Ryan Seacrest was there...he's shorter than I thought.

Iconic Disney Statue...my favorite

Our traditional lunch at The Blue Bayou Restaurant...
It's the restaurant you can see at the beginning of Pirates of the Caribbean

The official Disney Christmas Season wasn't until November 13th,
but there were already some decorations up!

The new Toy Story Ride was AWESOME!
Not to mention, I totally kicked Matt and Drew's butt's both times!
It's a 3D shooting game...seriously fun!

California Adventure

Sweet Tea break

Letting out his inner bad boy, angry drummer

Cuteness

One of my favorite rides

Hey! Mini Golden Gate Bridge!

My happy place
Main Street USA

The cutest caramel apples I've ever seen!

After the 49ers game, we headed to Anaheim. It was a 6 hour drive...Matt is the bestest husband ever and drove all that way just to take me for one day. That's love people! On the way there, we had to cross the Bay Bridge. Most people aren't aware that I am extremely afraid of bridges...I'm not really sure why. I was shaking and had tears in my eyes the whole time and that is one long bridge! Not to mention, parts of it had broken right before our trip! SCARY! But we made it there and after sleeping only about 6 hours, we spent the day in Disneyland. Afterwards, we made the long treck back to San Francisco...we got to our hotel at about 3:30 in the morning! Crazy? YES! Fun? DEFINITELY!

San Francisco: November 8th

The 49ers vs. The Titans

This dude wins the award for best hair...

This girl (who was wearing a shirt, I promise) wins the award for WORST hair!

I have never been to a professional football game so it was really cool to go.
I must say, though, that 49ers fans are something else...and I don't mean that in a good way.
They are very crude, classless, mean fans.
They don't have fun. They pick on every one.
And they get extremely sensitive when their team is losing.
Definitely wouldn't take my children there.
The language was awful!
But it was still a good experience.

San Francisco: November 7th

On Saturday, we went down to Fisherman's Wharf to find some early lunch.
While walking there, after finding parking (which is horrendous and expensive!)
we saw these cute trolleys that were really old and from other countries!

Ahhhh seafood. You could buy a whole, fresh, cracked crab for only $10!
We opted for clam chowder in a bread bowl and a crab cake.
Absolutely delicious.
I could live off clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl my entire life.

I love this boy!

Japantown

This is David's neighborhood.
It is a very Asian community with awesome shops, restaurants, and houses.
The BEST place is Genki.
They serve hot crepes filled with many toppings, but our favorite is
the crepe filled with Nutella, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream.
Heavenly.

Me :)

Matt, David and Drew

Pardon my cheese for a second, but so in love with this man.
He's so handsome!

Here's David!

After walking around a bit near David's house, we took a bus
to Union Square. Right when we got off the bus, wham!
An awesome little cupcake shop. I, of course, had to stop.
I got lemon raspberry. It was perfect!
Drew got chocolate strawberry.

On our way to Chinatown

Entry to Chinatown

Can I paint my house these colors? :)

More Nova adorableness!

After stopping by to see Nova again, we headed off to Golden Gate Park.
Such amazing trees! And it smelled SO good!

David's crazy!

Told you he was crazy! ;)

Beautiful sunset!
